Peas Katori Chat

A lip-smacking dish that will get you a fan following in no time! Peas Katori Chat is a light and delicious snack that takes minutes to make but hours to forget. With a variety of tastes and textures that immediately remind you of the sweet and sour goodness of Indian street food, this is a must know dish for every host/hostess!

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour- 2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Carom Seeds-1/4 tbsp
  • Oil- 3 tbsps.

Method

  • Knead dough of the whole Wheat Flour and make small balls with it.
  • Add powdered whole wheat flour and make a few Chapattis, round in shape.
  • Grease the muffin cups with some Leonardo Extra Light Olive oil and while placing the Chapattis into them, stick them.
  • Using a rolling pin gently, get rid of the extra Chapatti out of the muffin cups.
  • Now in a deep pan, pour in some Leonardo Extra Light Olive oil for frying.
  • Just make some cuts with a fork in the muffin cups and dip them into oil pan for deep frying on medium heat.
  • Once the katoris are fried, they will leave the surface of the cup themselves.
  • While taking out the cups take out the katoris from the oil and keep them upside down to get rid of the excess oil.

Stuffing

  • Green peas- 2 cup
  • Onion-1
  • Tomato-1
  • Chaat Masala- 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilli- 2
  • Green Chutney- 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Yogurt for topping
  • Tamarind chutney
  • Leonardo Extra Light Olive Oil- for frying and greasing

For the Stuffing

  • Finely chop an onion and a tomato.
  • In a pan, heat some Leonardo Extra Light Olive oil.
  • Add the chopped Onion into it and stir.
  • The minute it starts to sizzle, add the chopped Tomato, Green Peas, finely chopped Green Chillies, some Chaat Masala and give this a toss.
  • Now add the finely chopped Coriander leaves in the end.
  • Stuff this mixture into the fried katoris carefully.
  • In a serving plate, add some Curd, Pudina Chutney ,Imli Chutney and sliced Capsicum for garnishing and place the Katoris over the plate to serve!
